Full course description
Earn 3 credits for your prior knowledge and professional experience around special education. The full special education course addresses:

How to effectively teach children with special needs including both high and low incidence disabilities

Teaching and assessment methods appropriate to inclusive classrooms

Strategies for general education and special education teachers to collaborate with one another and with related service providers

The role of general education teachers in identifying children in need of further services, participating in intervention, eligibility determination, and IEP meetings

Strategies to manage and organize needed data collection
To document your familiarity with these concepts, you will respond to six prompts aligned to the course outcomes. You will have one month to complete your response. You can have open access to standard resources as you work. You may not use AI generators to draft or complete your responses.
Upon successful completion of the exam, students will be awarded 1 credit and billed $100 per credit payable through Navigator.
