Course Description

This professional development course, specifically created for School

Librarians, focuses on the multilingual/English learner experience, ML/EL

law, teaching all learners, connecting with families and ML/EL teachers

and ways to make our space and resources more welcoming to ML/EL

students.

Course Goals and Learning Objectives:

■ Understand ML/EL law and its implications for the school library

■ Recognize ways that supporting multilingual/English language

learners can influence every aspect of our role as school

librarians

■ Plan ways to steer our libraries towards providing exceptional

access for all students
