Film and Darkroom Photography

Wednesday, 6-9 pm

February 7 - May 8, 2024

Meier Hall 312

Film Photography is a great way to slow down and be mindful of your surroundings. With a finite amount of exposures, it forces you to be present and intentional when making photos. In this darkroom class, you will learn how to properly expose your film, process your own negatives and make silver gelatin prints in the darkroom. No experience is necessary to take the class. There will be instruction for those who are interested and there will be opportunity to work independently in the darkroom. You will be required to bring a working film camera (either 35mm or medium format) as well as film and paper to participate in class. The chemicals and the first roll of film are included.
